Doha

The city of Doha, Qatar is set to host the much-awaited FIFA 2022 World Cup, and as the countdown begins, the city's skyline is being transformed with a number of magnificent structures, the most impressive of which is the Burj Doha. The Burj Doha is a soaring skyscraper, standing tall at 238 meters, and is designed to resemble a traditional Qatari 'Badgir,' or wind tower, with a modern twist. At night, the Burj Doha and other surrounding towers illuminate the city with a stunning display of lights, making for a breathtaking view. The Burj Doha's distinctive shape is highlighted with multicoloured lights that change colour in unison, adding a dramatic touch to the already striking tower. Kingfisher

He is always in our backyard in the morning. A kingfisher is a stunning bird with bright and distinctive plumage, often featuring bright blue or green feathers on its back and wings, and a white or beige underbelly. It is a medium-sized bird, typically measuring around 15-20 centimeters in length, with a long, pointed beak that is perfectly adapted for catching fish. If you have a kingfisher perched on a metal pole in your backyard, you are fortunate indeed! Kingfishers are typically found near water, as they feed on fish and other aquatic creatures, so it is likely that there is a body of water nearby. The fact that the kingfisher has chosen to perch on a metal pole suggests that it is using it as a lookout point, scanning the area for potential prey. Watching a kingfisher in action can be a mesmerizing experience.
